Machines | WW2 metal detecting : Machine Gun Browning cal.50 from the Western Front in Europe
videos | at work | information | view | construction
This is a machine gun "Browning cal.50" from the second world war. I found it in Europe on the western front. Even the original wooden handles are still partially off. It was left there after the Normandy landing in the area of Belgium. After I cleaned it, I put it treated with oil in the major. You can now move everything back. The texts are in German, I hope you get along with it. Sometimes I've added translations of important places. If you have questions, just write me :)

Nice find Man !! Wish i could look for battlefield relics of ww2 but i live in Nevada. I would beadblast it and paint it black and try to get some parts, or just leave it rusty ,Sweet find !!!!!

Wow..... I'd be proud as hell if I found a super cool piece of history like that. What a great project to restore it back to as good as you could get it. When a smart ass starts talking shit about his 44 mag you could casually say I have a pretty cool gun too, but it's nothing like yours. When he laughs and says Oh really? What kind is it? You say It's a Browning .50 caliber Machine Gun.....ever heard of it?

I lost that machine gun over 70 years ago ! can I please have it back !!!
-
that's a m2 50cal.
-
Hey Könnte ich kaufen, dass?
-
That will damn sure fire again. Im a gunsmith ive restored worse. Put it through electrolysis and polish and reblue it. Find internals and a barrel and good to go
-
The Browning .50 cal. didnt come into service until 1933,please get your facts correct...also known as the MA deuce...also a Browning 1919 water cooled .50 cal. entered production in 1929...replaced by the M2...
-
It was only used in ww2 on Sherman tanks
-
I want to puy that one!
-
It's strange to think, but that model, the M-2 HB, is used and still in production to this day.
-
Curious if you tried any restoration work on the .50 (M2). Obviously it never will fire again, but you could probably get it to look pretty good. Nice find!
-
Not from WW I was not even invented till the 1920's
