Watch The Complete Set - https://youtu.be/1vOkfNXe6Rk?list=PLgeJ6bGP6EDlgg1EB1_CDrvvUdcI2mjsr The invention and use of the tools of war: Machine Guns, Constant Artillery bombardment, Barbed Wire, Tanks, Aircraft, Submarines, Flamethrowers, Grenades, High Explosive... All came down to the suffering of individual soldiers, it becomes painfully obvious why World War One happened the way it did once you see this video... Some sobering statistics are below... The total number of military and civilian casualties in World War I was over 35 million. There were over 15 million deaths and 20 million wounded ranking WW1 high among the deadliest conflicts in human histtory... From WikiPedia http://goo.gl/d5KEB

Hi. Cool video. Enjoyed it a lot. I also play similar games and like them. Yours seems a little bit different though. Anyways, keep it up. Thanks a lot!

The only new innovation in WW1 was the use of powered flight. Defence in depth, the use of chemicals, mutually supporting positions and mining or Sapping, were concepts dating back centuries.

The description of that last assault on the uboat hide out was insane. I cant imagine what it mustve been like to be on the british side or the german side and be involved in that. Mustve been an absolutely insane adrenaline rush.

two world wars - he who has the most wins, learn to get everyone fighting simultaneously and you have more than them.
The larger the empire the more that is available!
Both world wars the germans and their allies killed more but they lost both times.
The more you have available and willing to fight the more likely you are to win. Or conversely if you have made too many enemies and they get together, you might find there are just too many of them for you to win. If only you had less enemies, you might win more wars.
Massed industry, technology and man power is the main aspect to winning large multi nation industrial wars. The larger the resource base - the greater the chance of winning, not guaranteed, but it is a vital element.
To put it simply size matters.
Oh and by the way - the concept of massed tanks with close supporting infantry was pioneered successfully by Gen Monash, an Australian, but unfortunately for him he was of the Jewish religion. Hence he is very little known today because the roman catholics protestants and other christians believed him to be overly educated to be a good soldier. He was knighted. The germans studied his battle plans after the war, they learnt and improved his concepts. Stupidly the british and french did not. -

the animation is a bit silly.

So often I hear the first WW described with the term the horror of the trenches. The Trenches saved lives, more soldiers died in battles of movement in 1914 & 1918 on the Western Front. The Anzac Corp was reduced to be combat ineffective in the 100 days 1918 though they with the Canadians defeated the German Army AT Amien and breeched the Hindenburg Line.

Samsonow shot himself, while more than 300.000 of his men were killed or wounded???
WTF? The russians had mere 30.000 bloody casualitys... False stats in a docu... -
Jesus Christ, the horror men have faced. Common men dying in these meaningless wars that could've been prevented. Gas'd, stabbed, shot, blown up, horrible diseases, trench foot.. I think even medieval warfare would be prefered over years of this. I hope they found peace.

This is not "COLOURIZED". It is, for the most part, ANIMATED.

I don't believe it was mentioned, but pilots in WW I went up without parachutes. The higher-ups believed that if they were allowed to bail out when their machines were shot out from under them they would abandon savable airplanes, and thus they subjected many on both sides to unnecessary deaths..

Unlike common wisdom has so long suggested the most lethal battle in WW1 was not Somme or Verdun. It was Brusilov's huge summer 1916 offensive in Eastern Front causing enormous military losses: 1.5 -2.0 million for Russian army, 980 000 for Austrian-Hungarian army and about 340 000 for German army. And in fact that Brusilov's offensive was very near to destroy Austrian-Hungarian army and made Vienna asking for peace. That would have put Germany in desperate situation. When things went wrong with other Russian front, Brusilov's offensive exhausted and Czar's regime started to collapse.

Just if man could spend all the money that was wasted in two world wars, on developments of human society every single family could have a personal home, good job and a decent life now.
When comes to destroying each other we, humans volunteer and spend all we have, but when it comes to help and build a decent society, only few volunteers.
French were the most losers of wars and the first starters of wars.
