Hey do you have to buy the Tools by your own or did you get the tools from the Workshop were you work ?
-
Nice collection of tools.
-
Is their any reason to buy chrome sockets?
-
Hey Adept, enjoying the videos! I have a question though. I plan on starting tech school for a diesel tech and I am wondering do they teach you about all the variants of tools you will be using in the diesel industry? Seems like a overwhelming amount of tools to know before starting my course.

Being a tech my self and having over $100,000 in tools and tool boxes. You defiantly have some money invested in tools. But its the only way to be efficient and do the job right.

Nice collection of tools and video. Just curious is you run into many SAE sized fasteners with Cat stuff or have they moved to mostly metric like everything else now a days?
-
Im amaze while watching your tools.for sure you get all your job done in cat standard hour unlike my situation here in my cat dealership. any way thanks for your videos I learned ideas that most experience technician don't want to share.

what do your find yourself using more often. a 3/8 fixed head or flex. im about to order a snap on ratchet but im stuck whether to get fixed or flex. would you say a flex head are as durable as your fixed heads.

This vid was strangely satisfying....I would not expect an exact amount but what roughly would all this cost a feller?

Its the downpoint of being a Diesel Mechanic. Tools tools tools needed. Alot of other trades require alot less needed and pay just as well if not better. 95% of my box has snap on. It is expensive but if it breaks its replaced in the weekly visit which is what I like. Other guys in the workshop buy cheap tengtools and spend there lunch breaks chasing warranty claims which take up to 6 months for them to accept and replace! Snap on always visits weekly and replaces any issues although the quality is that good things dont break.
