We are Ben (35) and Kate Gatski (37) of Gatski Metal (http://www.gatskimetal.com). We live on a hilltop in rural Pennsylvania. We make sculpture and furniture using reclaimed materials [old farm machinery & barn wood]. Ben is the welder, farmer, artist and dad. Kate is the designer, cook, entrepreneur and mom. We have three children. We are self-taught artists. Our inspiration comes from farming. We gather our raw material from farms, farm machinery dealers and junkyards. We bring them back to our shop and create unique objects using basic tools. We sell work to art and craft galleries around the country. We also sell our work online on The Steel Fork (http://www.thesteelfork.com) ; a collection of our favorite things handmade by us, and our family.
