The competition is fierce. More and more German transport companies are declaring bankruptcy. They can't compete with Eastern European firms now that the European transport business is opening up. Eastern European firms often pay such low wages that their Western European counterparts can't keep pace. One Latvian trucking company even hires Philippine drivers, paying them just 680 euros a month to drive clear across the continent. Reporter Hagen Tober hits the road with some truckers. i work before with DINOTRANS.. that's is our yard in Lubeck.. for me that company is bullshit... they just treated us Filipino drivers like a fuckin' slave..that's totally true they just gave us 670 euro and 10 euro daily allowance.. they don't even have a good accommodation for us.. all of their promises in the Philippines before we leave, that they will took care of us but what they did was all fuckin bullshit... I hope this effort of the affected drivers will not be in futile....
