Filmed on 15/10/2016. It is time to ride on Virgin Trains East Coast once again but behind on a HST and a diverted route. 43312 & 43290 is working 1S05 to Edinburgh via Carlisle as the East Coast Mainline north of Newcastle is closed for engineering works. The trains which are heading further north than Newcastle for trains either terminated or was assisted by DB Schenker class 67 on drag to Carlisle or HST's was mostly operating the diverted route. What is normally a line that see's Northern/ScotRail units on services to and from Carlisle and Glasgow Central was seen for several trains running non stop between Newcastle and Carlisle. As much as I wanted to film out of the train window, sadly the train was that full and standing, I had no chance of getting to any of the windows. Along the way, we see a DB Schenker class 67 67005 assisting a 225 set between Carlisle and Newcastle. 1S05 was held up outside Carlisle as we had to await a HST to pass which was heading towards Newcastle. The next video will see a selection of Virgin Trains East Coast on Diverts during the day. ******************************************************************** Thank You For Watching You Can Follow Me On Twitter: @NowisRicky Flickr: ricnowis Facebook: Ricster Rail Videos Instagram: ricsterpicster ©RickyNowisTrainspotting
