On 30th November 2016, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge visited Bombardier Transportation’s UK design, engineering and manufacturing site in Derby, as part of his first official visit to the county of Derbyshire. During his visit, HRH inspected the company’s assembly of Elizabeth line trains, where he met manufacturing, welding and painting apprentices who work on the site and are part of Bombardier’s Apprentice Programme. The Duke also enjoyed an opportunity to test-drive one of the new Elizabeth line trains on the site’s test-track.

I must say though, the Class 345 trains do look quite crap in design. In my opinion, the Siemens Desiro City trains look vastly more aesthetic.
