Both Gorlovka and Besarabka came under fire on Wednesday evening with shells landing close to the centre of both areas. Local militia destroyed a bridge connecting Gorlovka with the neighbouring Besarabka district in a bid to stall the advance of the army. Gorlovka is currently without communications, transportation or power, but no casualties have yet been reported.
