I was there in Arghandab with 5/2 SBCT. We were the first SBCT to hit country. It was a hell hole and my battalion 1/17 lost 22 men. We were known to have lost more men than any other Army battalion since 9-11. My brigade even made world headlines due to soldiers killing civilians and cutting off fingers as trophies. It was a f*cked up deployment.
