WOW Fn Aye... Great Vid!!! & Burry It to Tunnel Lower or Too Costly To Remove/Reuse ..... = 2 Reasons
-
A thing of beauty as well as terrifying
-
It can be used as a girder thing to support the tunnel, or find a route that will free this thing for the upcoming projects.

Да ладно! Часть установки тупо в землю бетонируют!? Роль какую-то это играет?
-
What a boring video... see what I did there?
-
Why would they bury it??
-
rip boring machine!

It must be sad to bury the TBM, after all the hard work the men have gone through with it, some of them being injured or killed in it. Like watching a sinking ship.

Yes, I'm sure the people who build and operate machines so complex that you can't even wrap your head around a tenth of what it takes to operate it, could not, for the life of them figure out a cost effective way to refurbish it. Orrrrrrr maybe, just maybe, rather than spending half a million to remove the machine piece by piece and another few million rehousing and rehoning it they figured out it was cheaper to drop it in a hole and get a new one. Have any of you ever tossed a coke can in the trash?

So after the tunnel is completed the tunnel bore machine is just buried and forgotten? Couldn't it be disassembled and used again?
