I'm willing to bet that was just a cold start in an unheated shop. I've got a 2014 Volvo, and for about 2 minutes after start up she claps like that too on a sub-zero morning.

Lucus where art thou? Lube it or loose it. Sounds like mine whenever its a cold start up. Then to hear more clatter go with synthetic. It will show leaks from everywhere imagineable then it like seals itself somehow, leaks disappear then its no knock and running smooth with a rythym of clattery clack. Nothing like the smellin of diesel in the early morning hours ready for a new day in paradise. Mhmm. Ones gots to love it...right. Well get out there and bring home the bread and stack it high. Then hide what stack you made...and rat hole it somewhere...and stack another till the stacking comes to a halt. As it sure enough does. C-ya. :)
