ODELL, NEBRASKA — A Pennsylvania trucker got in trouble with the law after his attempt at revenge completely backfired. The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Darren Walp had been texting his boss while driving a truckload of corn to Hanover, Kansas last August. While on a stretch of Nebraska road, the 36-year-old got a text message saying he’d been fired. Fuming, he abruptly stopped the truck and opened the grain trailer’s bottom hatch doors to let more than $3,000 worth of corn slowly spill out. Walp then got in the truck and took off, letting the rest of the corn — nearly 1,000 bushels — pour out onto the highway for a quarter of a mile. Authorities weren’t happy about the mess, which reportedly cost $500 to clean up. Walp has been arrested and is facing felony criminal mischief and depositing materials on a roadway. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
