BRING THE BOUNTY TO ITS FULNESS. In a simple turnover ceremony held in Sitio Embargo, Brgy. Tuyo this morning, farmer from various barangays in Balanga received agricultural machineries from the city government. City Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia and Vice Mayor Vianca Gozon led the said turnover rites. Councilors Benigno Meriño and Anselmo Sanchez came and spoke on behalf of the farmers’ sector, while Board Member Jose Villapando, Sr. represented the Provincial Committee on Agriculture. The farmers came to receive the 3-million worth equipment endowed by the Department of Agriculture to Balanga City. Ms. Nerissa Mateo, city agriculturist, facilitated the said transfer of equipment. The said agricultural machineries were mainly harvesters and tractors. A post-harvest facility known as 'palay shed' was also presented to the farmers, where they can dry and store their crops.
