Btw. all diesel engines run on unrefined oil, includung your new Mazda or Mercedes.
You can use vegetable oil in your car, that is what Diesel was intending while working on it.
For that very reason there is now a tax on vegetable oil to keep people from using it instead of already taxed diesel. -

Ich habe letztens einen Trick gelernt: falls Windgeräusche die Aufnahme stören, kann man die niedrigen Frequenzen am Computer einfach schwächer drehen oder ganz wegschneiden. Wollte ich nur mal einwerfen :)

The Lanz Bulldog was reputed to be capable of running on any type of oil viscous enough to actually pour into the tank. John Deere bought out Lanz in the late 1950's, and the Mannheim factory site is now their European Headquarters.

In my hometown Bulldog was the synonym for Tractor. Very late I learnt that it was actually a brand. Did you recognize the gas burner? This is needed to preheat the cylinder. In german the word Vorglühen is nowadays only known for pre drinking.
