"Newark Tractor Spectacular" DVD highlights from Primetime Video. The County showground at Newark has seen some of the biggest vintage tractor shows of recent years. Ford 500 and Tractor 2000 were both held there, and the 2004 Newark Tractor and Agricultural Heritage Spectacular maintained that tradition. Hundreds of Tractors were drawn up in 'villages' - clusters of machines of a particular make, or owned by county groups of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club - alongside displays of working machinery and trade stands offering everything from a vintage spare part to original art works. Main ring parades included performances by the Dancing Does: the Spectacular was one of the biggest ever gatherings of the famous Essex-built articulated twin tractors. Other makes on show included David Browns, laid out as if at an agricultural show in the 1950s: Fergusons, with Friends of Ferguson Heritage offering a display of tractors and implements designed to use the Ferguson system linkage, and John Deeres, presenting vintage and modern tractors in a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the company founder. Written and narrated by Alan Stennett, duration 60 minutes and available online from www.primetimevideo.co.uk
