2. My aunt worked in this and she said there's constantly snakes in there and sometimes they make it through to where the tomato paste is made.
3. The tomatoes do not bruise because they've been bred to have a tougher skin on them. That actually had to happen first before the harvester machine was invented.

19. They aren't trying to maximize tomato production by plants. They are maximizing it by work. They 7-9 workers have harvested in a few hours enough tomatos to feed a small village for weeks. Obviously, if you have a few tomato plants on your balcony it's a better idea to get the fruit and let the plant live. It's also gonna be much tastier is you harvest it when it's ripe.
20. Commercial growers use mostly determinate varieties that ripen pretty much at the same time, like Whitehead mentioned.
