Machines | This Might Shock You: Downed Power Line
videos | at work | information | view | construction
If you come across a downed power line, stay as far away from it as you can and call Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773. Assume it is live. Never touch a downed power line or anything near it. Do not drive over down power lines. Should a power line fall on your car when you're driving, slowly continue to move completely clear of it. If your car can't move away from the power line, stay in the car until help arrives. If a person or pet comes in contact with a power line, stay clear and call 911 immediately. Do not touch them or the wire. If you watch carefully, you’ll notice that we missed a couple of important safety issues. While filming the video, we neglected to make sure each driver was wearing their seat belt. It’s important to be safe around electricity and to always wear your seat belt and never text while driving. If those are still energized 500 KV lines you can just kiss your ass goodbye either way. Then again, if you've run into a steel latice transmission tower and have managed to knock it down, you've got a whole list of problems going on.

Wouldn't rolling down the window and potentially touching metal of the car be a bad idea?
-
What he should have done was opened the back and crawled through the car to there. It gains him some distance from the wires and reduces his risk of shock

Come on, who's going to be that cheerful after some texting retard left your shit in ruins? He has to take financial responsibility for that whole thing. He should have punched her in the stomach at the end at minimal. I want to learn useful safety tips, but I want the acting to be authentic.

And once again, we have a DUMB ASS, texting while driving. Did I already say, DUMB ASS? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Randy McDaniels, TLC.
