I was ready to dislike the video - until I saw that "start thingy transition"
-
so basically humans suck
-
Automatization man,i feel it in the air...
-
This is why i think traffic lights in Europe turn yellow before they turn green.. Sort of like a preparation to hit the gas. Of course if everyone is paying attention!
-
There is nothing simple about replacing every car in circulation with a self-driving car.
-
Watch Dogs is the future!
-
Or you could exchange every intersection with a roundabout, greetings from Europe.
-
Technically, the highway system should have made cars water in a tube, simply free-flowing no matter how narrow the highway was. In fact, if humans were absolutely coordinated, every single highway could just be one-lane roads and traffic would flow perfectly as a 10-lane superhighway.
-
As a car enthusiast I agree main public roads should be taken over by self driving cars...
But I would demand non speed limited roads for human drivers as their own roads. ^.^ -
OK. first of im talking about the 'self driving car bit' and yes i agree this would work. However, to make this work in real life not only would this be a momentous task, changing every car in the world to be self driving, but it would involve having a central network for all of these cars to communicate on. Now thinking about how many different car manufactures there are, too many for me to bother googling, it would be HIGHLY complex to change the system with the different types of cars that are on the road. Secondly, the security implications would be insane to build, because if a person buys one of these cars, not only does the car know where you live, it would know where you buy food, where you work, christ it would probably know how to calculate your wages based on how much fuel you put in the tank!
Because of this, and the terrifying information that can be given to people just via your car, it would be very scary if a group managed to access this data. Not only would they be able to see your information from your car, but every single car in the world would be connected to the same network as yours, as the vehicles need to communicate in order to drive around. therefore everyone's data would be at risk. Now yes i know what your thinking, "whats the harm?" but how about this. they know how much money you earn, they would know where you live, so most people would be able to deduce that if a person lives in a nice house, and has a good wage then what does that tell you? They have a high risk of either being robbed or having there house broken into.
Maybe im being pedantic because most people aren't sadistic fucks like me, but the threat is there. So in 40 years time when we all sit back in our leather armchairs, relaxing on our way to work in our Self driving cars remember; that car knows more about you that you know. -
would you really feel safe charging an intersection at 70mph? thats a lot of faith in All those machines not to fuck up...
-
i hardly see cars go to intersecion they always dont go over before theres room
-
this is why instead of having people driving, we let the cars drive themselves
-
Нужны тачки с электроникой, которые бы работали в паре с машинами рядом и светафорами!

Well, we can SORTA get those crazy intersections. Look up a video of Meskel Square (/watch?v=UEIn8GJIg0E), it's of course not as smooth as the one in your video, but in the video, there's no major traffic jams or even any accidents. But I think that's possibly because people driving through the intersection know to expect and prepare for a chaotic situation and stay alert since there are no traffic lights, and there are much more opportunities to drive around someone or get out of the way since there's no lanes. Whereas just one person in a normal traffic light intersection not following just one of the rules can totally ruin it for every single person until their car is cleared from the intersection.
I wonder if more of these freely styled intersections would fix some of the problem. -
the selfdriving car thing would be awesome IF I DIDINT LIKE DRIVING CARS MORE THAN ANYTHING
-
Use yo blincer
-
the real solution to traffic is actually a tank

3k dislike represents driving monkeys

Want to know how to get rid of traffic, reduce stress, save money, help the environment, decrease worldwide conflict, lose weight, and so much more? Get out of your damn car. (HINT: Self-driving cars aren't the solution, they are a Band-Aid and pure greenwashing.)
