videos | at work | information | view | construction
As Ford Australia ceases vehicle manufacturing at the end of October 2016, so does the supply of the Harrop HTV1900 Supercharger for the locally built 'Miami' 5.0L V8. Based on the 'Coyote' engine platform found in the Mustang, the 'Miami' engine was designed by Prodrive in Melbourne for supercharging, and assembled at the Ford Engine Manufacturing plant in Geelong Victoria. Harrop Engineering has proudly designed, developed and delivered supercharger systems to Ford Australia since 2010. www.harrop.com.au

Sad to see this scale of production leave our shores and the impact on the networks of suppliers and other businesses that our government chose to ignore when killing the automotive manufacturing industry - for a mere $150M. In Victoria the Andrews government flushed over 1.1Billion of tax payers money down the drain when cancelling East-West project - no one seemed to mind. Political agendas played out through poor economic decisions abound on both sides. It's just sad and un-Australian.
