Machines | The Biggest Water Truck in The World - Caterpillar 773
videos | at work | information | view | construction
Watering equipment plays an integral part in the most demanding mining projects. Caterpillar offers off-highway truck bare chassis designed for specialty machines that complement the Cat® off-highway truck fleet. These partial machine configurations allow construction and mining customers to purchase complete solutions from their Cat dealer, using Cat equipment every step of the way. The off-highway truck bare chassis can be leveraged for a variety of final machines, including water trucks, tow tractors, and fuel and lube trucks. I used to operate 773's and that is a nice size of truck. Depending on the year and series, 650 HP and up is fun to drive!!
-
13000 gallons is just under 50 tonns.
-
Be cool if they made a similar one based on a 797 chassis :) (wondering if that would work as the mass of the water capacity would be so heavy it might break or bugger up the mine roads it sought to service....) someone correct me if needed please.
-
Correct, as this is a beautiful water truck - the largest water truck has a capacity of 60,000 gallons and is installed on a 320 ton haul truck chassis... and YES it's built by Ground Force! www.gfworldwide.com
