What Are The Most Expensive Military weapons? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Description: People will often complain about the high cost of taxes, and wondering where the government is spending our hard earned money. Well, the likely place is that your money is going to is funding the construction of military weapons. When lives depend on the functionality of these weapons where error can’t happen by any means, then a ton of cash is put into the perfect construction of these weapons. We’re not talking about these weapons costing in the thousands or millions. In fact, these weapons start at $33 billion, such as the P8-A Poseidon aircraft, which is an anti-submarine surveillance plane. It is armed with numerous weapons such as mines and missiles, as well as developed by Boeing for the United States Navy. With these projects costing so much money, you can imagine that their technology and development are highly classified information, and not readily available to be seen by civilians. But the CVN-78 can be seen by the public, as it is an aircraft carrier. It weighs over 100,000 tons and spans over 4.5 acres. The carrier can hold 75 airplanes, plus countless seamen, and is powered by nuclear reactors. So how much does a beauty like this cost? $34 billion. While freedom isn’t free, it definitely isn’t cheap either. Then we have to factor in the cost of protecting troops who are at the front lines of war. To keep them safe and able to defend themselves, the United States government spent over $41.6 billion in mine resistant ambush protection vehicles (MRAP). These vehicles have bullet resistant glass and can withstand mines and other attacks, so saving some lives is definitely worth the cost. Now let us consider the cost of a superweapon, such as the Trident II missile, which can travel over 45,000 miles at 13,000 miles per hour. Hopefully, it’s a weapon that will never be used, and it can be used well in intimidation tactics for $52.3 billion. Since we’re starting to dive into weaponry that’s almost half a trillion dollars, let’s take a look at the V-22 Osprey, which was developed by Boeing to help transport cargo in a long haul. The aircraft can also take off vertically, and is used heavily by the government. The Osprey costs $57.8 billion as well. Between aircrafts, ships, and submarines, trillions of dollars continue to be put into the invention and development of these weapons. Unfortunately, in a few years, the technology behind these weapons will be obsolete, and more money will be needed to update these machines. Whether they are built for offense or defense, the government feels they are essential enough to preserve the safety of the country. Among this list are also the aircrafts F/A 18 Super Hornet, the F-22 Raptor, and the F-35 Lightning II, as well as the nautical weapons of the DDG-51 Destroyer Ship and the Virginia Class Submarine. Whether it’s by air, land, or sea, you should all sleep well tonight knowing that you’re safe from enemy attacks thanks to these weapons and the money it took to build them.
