Machines | Tesla Vehicle Engineering - Part 1
videos | at work | information | view | construction
Tesla's Vice President of Vehicle Engineering, Peter Rawlinson, talks about some of the features of Model S engineering at Tesla headquarters. He discusses the advantages of designing a car from the ground using Tesla's proven electric powertrain, and how the result will be a drive experience to surpass any that have come before it. Tesla, is great in crash.
-
Why has it taken us so long to get to this point ??? answer, Big oil do not want us to get here. This is a great leap forward, keep it going.
-
Innovation?!! Really, but you failed Aptera.
-
nice
-
Impressive engineering. Not so impressive is the desecration of landscapes with wind turbines for so-called "clean energy" to power these cars.

Tesla will not be a puppet for OPEC. Auto company giants-learn from Tesla. Now the question? Model S or the X:)

I know this guy

If in the future, there will be not any fuel car, the action movies car pursuits will have less explosions. When a car will crash it will be "blop", and if it's a air pressurized car , the crash sound will be "pfffffff".
It's not important, but I thought of it one day. -
they talk about amazing tech and advancements, even thow if the car was in water or caught fire, or a wire shorted on another one the next minute boom or zaap you dead. a painful death
-
Wow so mesmerizing
-
Thank you for doing these. Finally, those of us who are interested in these matters are being shown what is the guts of these innovative vehicles. Thank you very much.
-
That is so sexy
-
What happens when the car is overturned in an accident and the passengers are soaked in battery acid. Lawsuit???
-
buen trabajo...
-
What typeface do they used at the beginning of the video ?
-
Is he from the British car industry? Quality there was a bit , ehh, unflambyant
-
Yes, he's infectious a bit like Steve Jobs' passion during his presentations. Just makes you want to buy the product.
-
the detail of the car combined of how this guy explained it makes me smile...:)
-
I heard that the boron bumper steel was replaced by a less expensive and easier to produce aluminum kind, coz Elon Musk says it was way overkill and unnecessary...that of course did not compromise on the cars crash safety...

The first thing I'll do is rip off that middle radiator and replace it with a much thicker one, so I can run the motors harder (essentially I can increase the horsepower by patching the software, to not melt the motors added cooling is all that is required, and for safety some extra temperature probes placed at the parts that are already quite hot, but not part of the cooling system).
