Machines | Tesla Model 3 Explained: Specs, Features, and Price. Why I reserved and what concerns I still have
videos | at work | information | view | construction
What's with that steering wheel? Is Autopilot standard? How about supercharging? If I reserve now, will I get that tax credit? I'll attempt to answer all of those questions and more about the Tesla Model 3. Everything we know about the Model 3 turns out to be not that much. Besides the basic specs, features, and price there is still a lot we don't know. I'll also share some predictions about some options that I think we'll see when this vehicle hit production. You can reserve your very own Model 3 for $1,000 right here: https://www.teslamotors.com/model3 Productions starts at the end of 2017. Time to starts saving! it looks like a mazda 3!

You have to pay $0.40/minute at a Supercharging station for every minute you go over starting 5min after your car reaches 100%. That's to avoid hoggers.
-
I have paid the 1000 euro, although I must surely wait until 2019.
Then for me the ice age is finally over. -
Tesla has fucked up their display making it smaller and removing the one behind steering wheel on model 3...STUPID !!! Don't buy that...
-
Tesla needs a 500+ mile range.
-
can you buy the convenience features after you already have the car? its only software so it should be possible right?
-
On Tesla's website it says US deliveries begin late 2017, so people will probably get their cars sooner than you think.

I'm 6 3 as well. I would need to know how spacious this is inside and the backseat legroom. If it's the same size as the BMW 3 series then that would suffice.
-
Rear glass window? What if you don't want people seeing inside your car?
-
I agree, i for tge configuration that provides the most range (large battery & single motor).

Gur184, great video, I'm also on the fence regarding the Model 3. For me I really hope they scrap that center screen as the only display for information. That design reminds me of the early 2000's Toyota Eco. Absolutely ugly and cheap looking. The other concern is the limited range of a smaller battery. And I think that the 35k price tag is for the base model, if you desire more options the price will be more in the 45-50k range. Just my opinion. I'm looking forward to the second Model 3 event.

Steering could be AR on windshield! - I hope

Let's not forget the Mini Coopers gauge placement. <3

Infrastructure will be the key. I used Tesla's map of Supercharger Stations for a trip from Morristown, NJ to Ottawa, Ontario Canada, to visit my grand kids. I can get to Watertown, NY with no problem, A stop in Birmingham, NY 155 mi, to Watertown, NY 140 mi to Ottawa, ON, Canada 120 Mi. BUT Ottawa doesn't have a Supercharging station so I would have to plug into my son's outside 110 outlet to recharge for driving while in Ottawa and before heading back home. We can visit my wife's family in New Castle IN. BUT we must use Rts 78, 76 & 70, which have much more traffic and more slower speed limit areas than following Rts 80&76 to Akron down 71 to 70 at Columbus because here aren't any on Supercharging stations Rt 80 after Tannersville until Cleveland or going south to Pittsburgh which are beyond 200 mi. Based on the site locations, I guess Rt 80 needs more Outlet Malls.

It is what I feel the local working class individual person will move to. I did the savings cost of owning a EV and a gas car. I was blown away on the money I would save annually. Great video :-) The Model III is what I am looking for and I hope it meets the mark.

i own a BMW i3 and it looks uber cool my friend as well as driving superbly.I have also owned all the range at one time or another so I do know what I am talking about also.

I think the model 3 is a great car. My problem is the cost. My price range is around $25k. Even with incentives both the Bolt and model 3 are too expensive. Also as you pointed out the incentives will soon be phased out as they were with the Prius line.

i think it's FUCKING AMAZING!!!!. the wait time is the only thing that sucks 😓. Tesla is really changing the game.
-
whats the maintenance cost details - please cover in part 2

Hmm. Not loving the pushed in, creased front end. Was hoping for the 'nosecone' of the model S. I don't get it. It's not even that aerodynamic. Also, the display looks like an afterthought - not well integrated into the dash. Other than that the car is sweet. Love that it'll have a full set of sensors for safety!
