These are the tracks that I use to move heavy machinery, as shown in my other videos. They are made from 5 inch wide steel channel ,7 feet long, with 4" x 6" lumber underneath. Flat steel runners will work for indoor uses but for outdoor use and on sloping terrain it is necessary to use channels to allow for steering and to prevent the machine from drifting to the downhill side. The sliding shoes are made from , low friction, UHMW "blue barrel" plastic. The plastic is hot formed to shape. I like to use light oil from an aerosol can , for lubrication, because it makes the least mess. The rubber belting on top provides increased friction and helps to prevent the machine from sliding off.
