Machines | Subaru WRX STI - Front License Plate Relocation Kit
videos | at work | information | view | construction
In state that require front license plates, installing the license could mean drilling into your front bumper, or sacrificing cooling capabilities for either a radiator or front-mounted intercooler. Grimmspeed offers a front license plate relocation kit which can be used to install a front license plate, without these drawbacks. you made it worse

Your front plates should be facing the driver's side after relocating it not the passenger side because if a cop is on the opposite side of the street he needs to be able to see it and scan your plates people who relocate their front license plate to the passenger side deserve to be pulled over and ticketed

Damn bro stop justifying everything. It's just for looks not everything has to be for a "performance" reason
-
Yes it looks terrible than just putting it where it goes now you have weird flat area on number exposed looks worse. And you have a wrx sti.. Air blockage isn't going to make it an worse than it is.
-
Instructions not clear enough, mounted my plates to my $1,999 roof rack kit I never use and got a $1,400 no license plate ticket.
-
We get the Jdm style ones in Australia now
-
Does it fit on lancer gt 2015?
-
Can I install this on a 2010 Impreza 2.5i Premium?
-
I tried to do this for my 2013 legacy, and it wouldn't thread at all. anyone know how I can make it thread?
-
tug it out, giggity
-
wow, a lot of people don't like this mainly because of the holes on the bumper?! Just buy a Cobb license plate delete and your car will look better than it did stock. Plus it gives you 6hp!! ༼ ಠ益ಠ ༽
-
Ever have issues with this kit when taking your car to the car wash?
-
even if your mounted it to the side isn't the front license plate engineered to have the air directed through the bottom into the opening
-
Can't you just put it on the dash or not anymore?
-
i've seen license plate stickers in europe on the front of the cars. that's a lot more elegant
-
this looks turd would rather keep mine in the windshield/dash area and just pay the odd fine
-
People are commenting about how much better American plates are because they have rainbows or unicorns of whatever on them.
Well Euro plates won't block airflow to your radiator or intercooler.

Your tow truck driver is going to hate you...... That's an 8 bolt obstacle course to getting a grip on the front of that car to drag it onto the truck bed. 4 plate bolts, 2 bracket bolts, 1 pivot bolt, and 1 long dummy hook bolt all before the ring bolt can go in. But hey, at least you've got the cover off for him!
-
I used to think side plates were dumb because I'd see a handful of guys riding with their fog lights blocked off. Now I realise I was just looking at morons.

Hey man, great videos.
I wanted to point out that the correct technique for using a torque wrench is to apply and equal force with your alternate hand at the the head of the wrench. This helps reduce bending loads in the bolt which may cause the torque to be set incorrectly. With larger torques or shallow bolt heads this becomes necessary in order to keep the socket on the head.
