I have a 2000 ford Mustang the shifter is sticking it hard to shift please need help
-
Very clear explanation, thank you very much!
-
Had no idea you even had a channel. Awesome.
-
Dog box 1-2 straight cut, 3-4-5 helical is best for street/track use. Get a bit of both worlds.
-
Neat alright dog
-
Nice nice :D Thanks!

Assuming you have access to cad and a cnc machine, could a synchro trans be converted to dogbox just by repressing the custom dogs onto the gears and shift fork? Or is this exactly what you guys do? Or you guys also do all new shaft and gears and everything?
-
i have a set of mrt gears in my 98. very entertaining.
-
thnx to EM.AR.TI

I find it pretty cool how dirtbike transmissions have dog boxs lol
-
well my son and I are fixing to build a custom bore spaced brodix big block, big bore short stroke twin trubo & combo, and fully mirror polished Bryant crank, 60+mm ultradyne cam, roller lifters jesel dlc bushed roller lifter billet lifters, very trick $$ chi heads..600ci :) with a procharger on meth. with 3000hp potential helical cut gears would require and complete tranny redesign. .it would be bigger and longer than a straight cut gear box to be able to reliability hold the same power..the forxe of straight cut transmits more of the force deeper into the gear body. improving torque capacity. can't wait to rip thre sreetts once again!

Why does a dogbox slam into gear as opposed to a manual slides into gear? Is it the syncro rings in the normal manual that prevents the instant slam into the next gear?
-
If You can't find them, grind them..! ~( :-})={>--- ]

Awesome video Brett!!!! Awesome information clears up the questions I had about the gears
-
Would the straight cut gears aid in better power transmission, i.e less overall drivetrain loss?
-
Your Video's are great! I've still got the factory "glass" gearbox in my old Liberty RS lol
Got a few old issues of Zoom magazine, first remember Reading about MRT when you guys built a G200 Charade with the G100 993 GT-ti engine in it.....many moons ago;)
