Good video, I'd have to say you should move over to load boards to keep your business your business. Maybe buy a good used truck rather than lease, after you get some capital. Try Broadway Trucks, Spokane WA. That's where the Mexicans buy their trucks.

This dude surprised the hell out of me. NO WONDER THE TRUCKING RATES ARE GETTING OUT OF HAND!! Hope you make it in this business. KEEP ON TRUCKING WITH COMMON SENSE! ! BEING SMART!

Great video How do you calculate how much you need to charge for a mile, thanks

I dont know man. I plan on starting with Swift here soon, and have been doing alot of research on whether or not its worth it to be an owner operator. And from everything Iv seen, it seems pointless to get financing for a truck. If you can make 50 cents a mile being a company driver and be able to take all of that home versus being an owner operator and make $1 a mile and have expenses that bring that profit down to probably 50 cents a mile or less.
Ontop of that, I dont really see the "freedom" of financing a truck. If your paying $500+ a week for a truck alone you cant exactly take a week off.
If you are GROSSING $4k/week your looking at paying around $60k just in federal taxes (which you will have to pay yourself since its not being withdrawn automatically so you have to make sure to keep ontop of your taxes).
Now sure, you can deduct running expenses from your taxes, but its not going to be all that much. If your paying $400/week for fuel you can deduct about $20k instead of the standard $6300 which will bring your owed taxes down to $56k. Meaning weekly you will NEED to set aside $1100 just to pay federal taxes.
So add your taxes ontop of fuel and truck payment and your taking home, what, about $2000/week minus whatever other expenses you have as an owner operator at best? And thats best case scenario from what Iv seen.
Not hating, but you always need to keep your mind on paying uncle sam as well. The IRS will become your worst enemy, never get on their bad side. -
man fuck the snacks n give the kids real food brah...that's why you sweating soo much 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😆😆😆😆
