Come explore an abandoned farm shed located along a dead-end farm road in the mountains of central Japan. ---- Welcome to Abandoned Japan. My name is Kurt Bell and I am delighted that you have taken some time to share a little of Japan's lost and forgotten places with me. I'm available on social media at the links below and can be reached via email at dinnerbytheriver@gmail.com. The stages of living between these events: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, parenthood and senior are themselves natural and in accord with the needs of the species and most individuals. Many find their satisfaction in living this course and to these individuals I have little or nothing to say. Others though long for something more; something innate, genetic and seemingly calling. Adventure and change can give a degree of satisfaction and relief yet even these may seem too tame. To those who feel drawn to something beyond the entertainment and stimulation of senses I offer a walk along The Path of Wildness. Don't bother penciling the event in your schedule, preparing a pack with goodies and supplies or even inviting a friend along, for this experience is along the course of your first inclination and you must surely always go alone. An old Japanese water torture Cubical :) My mind can run crazy at times from watching a lot of Samurai movies over the years.
-
at 7:40 min in to the movie it looks like a face to the left?....could be wrong but
-
Nice knee, Kurt :)

As scarce as usable land is in Japan, I find it surprising that property abandoned that long would not have been redeveloped.

I'm pretty sure that was an old distillery dude. Three big vats at various heights, measuring and filtering equipment and a generator with backup fuel supply. That far out in the woods and not common local knowledge; smells like moonshine to me. I've been in a few illegal backwoods distilleries and it fits the bill pretty damn close. :D

Thank you for making these video's full of boy-ish adventure and curiosity. Yep, all us guys have a kids explorer imagination mindset. OH>>>> I trust you have had a tetanus shot, Kurt. Do you bring along a first-aid kit?
-
Hey Kurt! could the floating thing have been one of those giant newts, could have fallen in?? looked like two nostrils. Shabooky!
-
Is that blood on Kurts knees at about 32 seconds in? Maybe some kind of insect deterent I dunno. Just realised the comments are from last year, oh well!
-
@softypapa it looks like a moldy critter, possibly something that blew in
-
7:30 That is very strange, what did your imagination suggest Kurt? At first my mind went into cryptozoology mode and imagined it as some sort of strange creature with two slits to breath with, but when i looked again i noticed the rib like grooves and spine, and then that made the slits some kind of cuts, possibly the back of a murder victim or bear attack? you gotta check that place out with a friend

Just after you came out of the old building there looked like there was a pulley wheel and right away I'm thinking WELL, and then there is that creaking surface....WELL ya probably, the water table levels rise and fall it could be a very long fall.....and that thing that was floating actually looked like an old large leaf. :)

Call it my insane curiosity, but I'd go back and poke around more with a friend. Why is there an underground hidden structure? Check it out....

I see you scraped your knee. Be careful SoftyPapa! I just tore my ACL skiing (at 25) so it's an easy thing to do apparently! Be safe while hiking down those hills with camera in hand! Again though, Thank you for sharing!!!
