Machines | Spoils of War: A Machine Gun Full of Bullet Holes
videos | at work | information | view | construction
Sold for $6,325. The 1907 St Etienne heavy machine gun is a really neat gun mechanically, but I can't show you that today because this one is jammed together from the 7 bullet impacts that rendered it unusable a hundred years ago. http://www.patreon.com/ForgottenWeapons

Looks like someone added value to an otherwise uninteresting piece-seems to have worked!

This frenchman got flanked.

I have a the leveler that goes on the tripod and hooks to the gun to move to gun up and down. it is brass and steel has a double screw and it says "APX OMNIBUS 1915" on the side. I was wondering what it is worth and if you know anyone I could sell it to. thanks

This would be cool in battlefield 1 as a stationary MG (for french DLC)
-
Why does the barrel have wings?
-
could you shed some light on the funky muzzle looking thing?
-
i bet it is actual battle damage. if you had to render it inoperable quickly why would you shoot it in several places? just put a few rounds in the receiver area.
-
I may have said this before but this is one of the most underappreciated channels on YouTube.
-
Would be a great museum piece.
-
thoose holes remind me of the can sceen from the jerk....HE HATES THOOSE CANS
-
There is anither impact at the muzzle end of the bottom of the ejection port.
-
how much did it sell for?
-
Put it in a bath of oil.

Love that I found all these older guns cause these need to be in Battlefield 1

Ian out of all the youtubers I would want your job the most, I love war and war fare history so fascinating the innovation and genius that comes out during times of crisis. Plus guns are hella cool lol I've said it before but I wish in Ontario we were more open to guns and the culture that comes with it (the good kind that does stuff like you and hickock45). I'm going to be going back to school for welding in year or so but I really wanna do metal engraving on guns and ornamental guns.

How can something be "full of holes"
-
A great video Ian.
-
So could this be restored to fire, as far as legal of MGs go?
-
My first thought was that it was destroyed in a trench raid. "disable the machine guns and lets gtfo of here"

Have the French ever made a gun/weapon that isn't complete crap besides the Napoleonic musket?
