Numerous accidents are occurring on the highways due to the speed limit violations.In order to avoid this problem a device is developed by engineering students to detect rash driving based on time between two sensing devices which alerts the traffic authorities if speed violation occurs. this concept not only measures the speed of the vehicle but also it has buzzer which alarms when the vehicle crosses the speed limit of 150. the most useful feature of this project is that it can be extended by integrating a camera with this system which can capture the image of the number plate of the vehicle and send it to the traffic authorities. and the other adoptive aspect of our project is that it can be linked with the control room in the form of wireless module to monitor the vehicle movement. hopefully this project will help engineering students in their semester projects and also if it will be implemented by government on highways it will reduce the ratio of accidents due to rash driving.

i want some modification like as you said introducing a camera ..it won't be that easy for camera to capture image of number vehicle clearly.. so i want a neat tool to get the licence number of vehicle and that number can be read by microcontroller........... plzz someone help me regarding this.. malikubaid412@gmail.com

if it is a FYP then i would like to reject being Senior Embedded Engineer. if its a Smster Project than good work guys. but for your information you cant use this circuit outdoor as the infrared sensor will get sun rays and hanged up. check it in sun light .
