Machines | something i'm not proud of

I'm not proud of the fact that I did the bare minimum to get by. It's not something I like to talk about - it's honestly embarrassing to me. But prior to that, I honestly didn't realize someone could make their way through the system with learning virtually nothing. I draw from my experience and mistakes to try to offer insightful advice that will help you get the most out of your time spent in college. (Continued). I am by no means saying degrees are pointless. If you are fortunate enough to go to college like I was I think it's important that you get the most out of it you possibly can. Seeing people I know approach graduation that seem to have taken nothing from college makes me nervous. College will suck tons of money and time out of your life - get the most out of it you possibly can and it will 100% be worth it. I understand that this may not be possible at all schools or in all majors (yours might be really prestigious or have super high standards), but I feel like generally speaking the vast majority of us can relate to this situation (we're not all becoming doctors and engineers). If you go to college and can't find a job, that's because you picked a shitty field. Everyone knows information technology is booming and literally has jobs for people that haven't even walked across the stage ready for them if you can do the work in school. People always think just because they go to school they will get a job. You need experience. No one is paying a 21 year old fresh out of school 90k a year. I think that's the miscommunication with college, your not going to get paid super high right out of college

college is a waste of money

Thanks adam best video you have made in my opinion

I didn't do fuck in high school. My highschool let me do my work online so i just didn't show up and just did what i need to pass. Then in college something clicked and i made almost all As on my first semester. College is just a lot more free than high school and seems to motivate me more.

Adam, personally this video helped me quite a bit. I'm going into college this year & I'm so motivated to just focus on where my future is going! Appreciate the advice and love your content!!

I completely agree with you, but it all depends on the program and field. Medical field you must apply yourself.

This is why I subbed. You're a cool kid. Keep it up

Im so glad I watched this video because I was planning on taking all honers classes instead of A.P. classes just to get a little less work, but now I realize that if I don't take them now i'll just have to take them in collage.

Adam's right! It's all about passion.
Knuckle down, do what you love and love what you do! Then watch everything fall into place. -
Did he just say hummus?

You're not the first person to never read book and get a degree its all G fam.

Folks coming out of school are not doing well because they are not driven. They think since they went to college and have a degree everything should be handed to them. That degree will get you in the door. It is up to you on how well you do afterwards. Cry that river somewhere else.

hi adam i am 6 years old i a boy

No offence but if you got through college doing nothing then you went to the wrong college or studied some made up subject.

College is fucking garbage. They may as well rename it high school 2.0 (paid edition). These degree programs are absolutely worthless. It's 50% gen eds, 30% nothing to do with your intended career and 20% something you can actually apply to your career. I was going for a BS in programming and after realizing how little I would actually learn decided to try for an AAS in web programming (web design) and even that only had one class oriented towards my career choice (HTML & CSS) the other classes were for Java (Java not JavaScript) and C++ and Python. Not bad languages to know but for the most part useless for front end web development! I just ended up dropping out as most of the devs that work in that field I spoke with were self taught and got where they are with a portfolio. Now I run an ecom department and study in my spare time all for the price of $0.00!
