videos | at work | information | view | construction
Kite Bricks is developing a revolutionary product that will change the way we build houses, buildings, bridges and sidewalks. From now on structures will be real thermal, much more stronger and very cheap & fast to build. contact us - info@kitebricks.com Smart Brick is a revolutionary brick and the basis of a new construction system covered by issued and pending US patents. The brick is amenable for building houses, buildings, bridges and more.. The block is constructed of high-strength concrete with unique properties that allow for the building of truly ecological structures, with large savings in electricity expenses associated with seasonal heating and cooling. The block allows for faster, cheaper, more precise, and stronger building than is available through traditional building methods. Bricks are designed to be easily joined together, with open internal spaces for insulation and infrastructure elements to be run through the bricks and allow for easy access to these elements. Floors, walls, and ceilings are all constructed by appropriate bricks to allow for facile, solid construction with little mess and significantly reduced construction costs.

Finally.. I could see a lego land here..

yeh,, right !!!!! NOT

um ,, very entertaining , since the video is 3 years old i think it was just fantasy rather than a real building material

I can't count how many problems this type of construction can cause. Antonymous robots sound wonderful ... until some mishap occurs. Broken pieces; gripper arm can't hold onto piece because was wet from recent rain; broken pieces are in the way of the next piece to go on top; etc. Then there are those pipes that go inside of channels. How can anyone locate these if the panels cover over these? Obviously some fixtures will protrude from these so wouldn't special holes have to be cut (or drilled) in these panels before going on? And how does the foundation get laid? Has anyone tried to use these robots on a site yet? If so, how did they fare?

Yay...lets get rid of humans.....
-
So you invented Lego?
-
So many ignorant children masquerading as adults.......

As long as you are talking about small building of just a couple of floors, this is no real problem. But if you want to build TALL... this won't work. You need structural steel, and it takes men to put that stuff In place. I'm not sure I would trust a 100-story skyscraper to this "technique".
One other thing: How will this resist strong winds such as from hurricanes or tornadoes? -
so like lego does it have age requirements like 8-11 and the technic version is for 12-15?

It will be all good until the supplier runs out of red blocks and you have to borrow pink ones from your sisters build.

So its Lego, but with glue? Mind blown!
