All those cars have gone forever now, glad some filmed them before they went.

Strange how familiar and ' not so old ' vehicles are returning to ' natural resources ', yet the 81 year old Morris 8 looks recoverable.One thing is for sure, the quality of the steel is not what it was and the chrome on the brass radiator cowl of the Morris is just itching for a buff with Autosol !.I bet ' BUY 1 ' mark on the Metro has been re-alocated !

We dont call cars old anymore they are all called "classics" how could a peougot from the 90's ever be a classic car, just an old worn out piece of rubbish.

the cortina was stolen from widnes in 1990

rust was a big problem, many failed the MOT test and of course being written off in a bump, or even engine failure.

so in these salvage yards, do you buy old cars and parts? or what?

Quite often find the owners of these places seem to think what they have are worth a fortune, and want at least double, if not four times more than they're worth.! So they just rot beyond repair :'(
