Russia's Defense Ministry has bought 34 of the country's military reconnaissance drones, and they are set to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2014, according to Valery Pobezhimov, the chief engineer of the supplying company. The maximum takeoff weight of a bat-winged Eleron-3SV is 5.3 kilograms, while it can carry an up to a kilogram in disposable load. The drone is able to fly at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour, with a maximum altitude of 4,000 meters.
