OMG!!! WAIT, I have any idea, lets see what the problem is and instead of buying a different fucking surfboard, let's angle up the curved fucker! SHIT, we don't need a fucking strait surfboard, let's just kill 3 more fucking cars and see how we are stupid 2 times....... Aaaaaaaarrrrrgh! RETARDS!
-
I can't believe they didn't use a more aerodynamic surfboard when they're smashing up a bunch of cars to test the theory, I saw what was gonna happen before they did anything, straighter surfboards do exist, try spending another $20 and get one, oh and another $30,000 for 3 more cars you fucking idiots, complete lack of respect for the mythbusters on so many episodes, and in awe on others, but come on, this is getting to be kindergarten and you can see that coming

mythbusters is the one of those things I wish I can see more of on TV. But everytime I flip to the Discovery Channel, the rancid tide of crap reality TV shows has me changing away before I even see a commercial for Mythbusters's next showing. Ridiculous. TV's priorities are messed up these days

there is nothing like a "shape of a drop of water". thats just for children. small water drops are round and bigger ones oscillate. the only fake thing here is your knowledge about aerodynamics. you better go back to university, you skipped the most basic stuff.
-
Here is the thing. A drop of water loses a lot of its aerodynamic properties when you cut the shape in half and put it on a surface. Look at their experiment when improving a motorbike. There they test the water drop shape, because it is applicable in full and their result is positive. In this test the bigger front of one car produces slightly more drag. The smaller front of cars parts the air gentlier to give them less air resistence.

That thing seemed to be getting unbelievably bad fuel economy forward and backward... I'm not sure what the test condition was (maybe flooring it for the 1 mile course?), but unless I counted wrong, it was like 33 litres per 100km. Ouch... Also, it's pretty infuriating when they go out of their way to avoid naming the actual make of the car they've been testing. Come on lads, do your audience a favour rather than letting your lawyers make it about money and (non?-)advertising...

@deutscherjoel Yup I know, but in 1986, ca. 1500 Euro cars were made with auto trans, 310 hp engine and the improved S4 suspension and brakes. Just 500 were made with manual gearboxes, both both are highly sought after. They fetch around the €10.000 mark on mobile.de.
-
@riberbentsen What do you mean, 1-1500? Over 60,000 Porsche 928s were made.
-
Why did they say what kind of car they were using. I know in other episodes they used a fury and said what it was, they used a cutlass supreme, an impala. Why did they have to go out of their way to not say it was a Porsche 928, I remember they also use a Toyota corona in one show and didn't say the name of the car.
-
@daniel1969o It's been sighted at a car show in Las Vegas recently.
-
you destroyed a 1-1500 car. I'm never watching Mythbusters again, sorry guys.
-
This is a great idea. Please do it for every episode.
-
do the mythbusters have a twitter or facebook account? can anyone tell what they are?
-
You can't tell me Heinaman (sorry if misspelled) never owned a Hemi
