Machines | Replacing the hydraulic wet kit pump on a semi-truck
videos | at work | information | view | construction
The old pump was over heated and the original installers didnt apply thread locker to the bolts on the mounting flange so the entire pump had to be replaced. Check out the pump tear down video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-6Si20q1LU

If they keep having problems with the pump working loose you might have to put a support bracket on the back of it to the back half of the transmission bolts a lot of the trucks I work on here in the coalfields of sw Virginia have them. Good job and videos keep it up.

Nice work. When working on the ground you can, when you need to slide heavy part under a rig, run a nylon strap through a hole in the plywood. Throw the strap under the rig. Go to the other side and pull the strap and plywood.

Thank you for sharing. Your hands must keep you busy. Good basic detail provided about the steps.
How much for the new part? Will the 'old' pump be refurbished....?
