Just learned that Chevrolet's Astro 1 concept car (1967) in fact started as a car designed for Le Mans in 1966 by Roy Lonberger (not Larry Shinoda as is often claimed), and the idea was that Jim Hall would be the pilot. For some obscure reason, this project was abandoned. A possible reason might be a change of the rules of Le Mans in that period, but I haven't found out yet what that change might have been.
