THIS IS A VIDEO OF OUR MAGNETO SERVICE CENTER IN FLORIDA. WE REPAIR, REBUILD AND RESTORE THESE OLD DEVICES WHICH WERE USED TO PROVIDE IGNITION SPARK TO MOST CARS AND TRUCKS THRU 191O, FARM TRACTORS THRU 1940 AND ARE STILL USED IN PISTON DRIVEN AIRCRAFT TODAY BECAUSE OF THEIR RELIABILITY AND INDEPENDENCE FROM A BATTERY. Thanks for the video! It is great to know that you guys exist and we'll pass the word. We know several "vintage engine nuts" and they will be delighted! Best of luck.

Hi. Repaired tons of mags, mostly flywheel type, but I'm an A&P and my Dad and I specialized in working on more expensive stuff so I'm familiar with unit types as well. I write to tell you a funny story: We had loaned our Farmall Cub to a neighbor and it had quit. We left it until we needed it, of course. It seemed to have trouble firing our standard .211" Briggs air gap testers even after the usual points and condenser and E-gap stuff. I ran inside and came back out with a a GM HEI coil and a Ford TFI module. We removed the mag coil, drilled a hole, ran a HT lead in to the center of the distributor rotor, and used the points (impulse coupling and all) to trigger the TFI. Man it had about an inch and a half of fire! Started right up about ten times in a row. Good. But then as it was warming up, there was a funny smell.
DIESEL! Our neighbor used the wrong gas can on our tractor. We went ahead and ran it because our Cub had cast iron pistons. And it continued to start up at zero fahrenheit on diesel fuel - but it ran REALLY good on gasoline! Hope you get a laugh out of this. You sound a little down in the video. I like and know what all your testers do. We always had the engines so they were our test stands. Guys would bring bring us mags and we would tell them we don't work on components, only potentially salable whole machines. Don't sound so down - you got a man's job,
it's honest work, and you can set no finer example for your son than that. I envy you. I got no son to pass anything on to. -
Hello. Do you have any parts for an eisemann am4??

It must be a really good feeling to look over and see your son working on the bench right next to you practicing new skills you taught him. Nice shop.
