What it is very important on PTO driven trailers (compare to non driven) is to explain that the system become a real 6x6 wheel driven with all the advantages of this system : - full traction from the diesel engine to all the wheels including trailer wheels and so traction is always guaranteed, especially in flooding seasons; - much better load distribution, considering all the wheel are driving this means that all the wheels can contribute to going up hill or to provide engine braking going down hill; - much less transmission stresses and failure: the axles of the tractor and the axle of the trailer are working into much more proper loads, reducing a lot overloading and failures; - much less power required, the same concept of our Buffalos, where to transport is much better then to pull a load (standard trailer are always pulled by the tractor !!) . In other terms by using a PTO driven trailer we have : - better weight distribution with less soil compaction so less road maintenance - less power required from the tractor and so less fuel consumption - less overloading of the tractor rear axle and so less failures in the area - customer more happy spending less and trasporting the same or more in the flooding season.
