This is part one of a three-part installation series of the Pierce 5T dump kit on a Chevy chassis. This video shows the primary measurements installers must consider before getting started. Take time to double check all measurements to ensure proper installation. http://www.piercesales.com This installation video can be used when installing a 7.5T or 10T kit. The main difference between each kit is the lift angle, overhang and length of the bed. 5 - 7.5T kits are compatible with 8' - 12' beds while 10T kits are compatible with 10'-16' beds. Read your manual for further instructions.

the only tipping gear to use is "Harsch Ind." . You did a great job however, it would be a lot easier to make a sub frame and mount your hinges and hoist to it. Then you can weld a pintle plate to the truck chassis so you can tow safely. We do custom tipping beds on all kinds of trucks 1 tons and up. my only concern no place to have a pintle plate.

+Veikra The dump kit payload is effected by several factors including what truck it's getting installed on, the installed overhang and the dump angle. Please note: The kit may be able to dump 5 tons of material, but you must never attempt to exceed the rated capacity of the vehicle the kit is installed on.
