While installing the clutch disk into my Scion FR-S (Subaru BRZ) (Toyota 86), i spent almost two hours struggling with getting my transmission to mate to the engine block. Eventually, i took the transmission back down, and noticed that the alignment tool had deformed from the weight of the clutch disk, and without noticing, i had tightened the pressure plate down onto it. I was outraged! I had to remove the alignment tool, examine it, then replace it and manually align the clutch disk to make up for the low-quality plastic tool.
