My grandpa and uncle got one and I'm assuming brand new, around '82 or '83 and it's still in use to this day, along with a couple other IH tractors they got in the following years. They nicknamed their 1086 "The Big Ten" and have a big sticker on the front in cursive text that says "Big Ten" :-D
