Site Skills Training has a second Darwin facility at East Arm in partnership with Advanced Training International. The training is delivered from the Larrakia Trade Training Centre, an INPEX funded indigenous training centre which, in conjunction with Advanced Training International, delivers apprenticeship and traineeship training to indigenous and other students seeking work with major projects in the Northern Territory. Through this partnership AQF Certificate level I to III training programs are available in the following: Automotive (heavy & light vehicle) Engineering (welding and metal fabrication) General Construction Civil Construction Electro Technology (electrical and refrigeration) Transport (bus driver training) Site Skills Training Darwin East Arm is located in the Industrial area of East Arm only 20 minutes' drive from the Darwin International Airport. The facility has six classrooms which can accommodate small to large groups up to 25 persons. There is a large undercover/warehouse area for training which is equipped with welding, fabrication, mechanical, and electrical training aids. The facility also has a substantial external training area for conducting civil construction and plant operator training. Through this facility, Site Skills Training brings High Risk and HSE training closer to apprenticeship and traineeship programs therefore saving time and money for employers and industry groups.
