videos | at work | information | view | construction
The ZEOD RC is an electric racecar designed to make the first all electric lap at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in June, 2014. The ZEOD RC (Zero Emission On Demand Racing Car) will be competing under garage 56 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, where it does not have to follow the exact regulations of the other vehicles. The car features two unique powertrains, which it is capable of switching between on the move. It has an electrical system with two 120 kW electric motors, as well as a spark ignition system capable of producing up to 400 HP. Many thanks to Nismo Channel for making this a possibility! 12kWh, wow! With 2 electric motors each over 100kW that will give you about 3-4 minutes of full electric power. Impressive.

Its been so cool watching you go from demystifying turbo's and transmissions in your room with that white board, to working with race teams and testing cars from an engineering perspective. Keep it up Jason; you're killin' it.

Wish you could of drove it

Nissan has the most innovative racing team in the world right now.

Can you do a video on locking hubs and do you need them

It seems like a lot of weight is devoted to the internal combustion engine. Was acceleration not competitive when using electric alone? Also, it seems strange to have no mechanism to reclaim some of the energy wasted as heat. That heavy cooling system has the sole purpose of sending heat energy out the back of the vehicle -- too bad some of that can't be reclaimed....
-
you should talk about the deltawing-shape and its front-rear weight and grip balance and all that.
-
can u make a video showing the difference between "body on frame" and "unibody" SUVs like strength, comfort, durability, cost and.... :)
