The Army's Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Mich., has found a key partner at the Michigan National Guard base about 200 miles north of it. Army scientists traveled to Camp Grayling recently to evaluate a synthetic blend of fuel for vehicles and forward operating base equipment — and the collaboration is just getting started.
