The National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, held every year in February, will mark a milestone in 2015. This will be the 50th year the event has been held at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center offering cutting-edge agricultural products, equipment, and services in the farming industry. But the show at its very origin is connected to the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment. Back in the early sixties, UK agricultural engineers were part of a group working on a rural electrification project for farmers that would eventually lead to the National Farm Machinery Show and is still going strong today.
