Officials said there were no casualties from the explosion -and the damage was contained to the launch facility. 'This is a tough evening,' said Culberston, saying Orbital Sciences is working with the FAA to investigate the explosion. We want to express our disappointment, especially to the researchers who had science on board. 'It's not as tragic as losing a life - and we are happy to report there were no injuries. 'Something went wrong, and we will find out what that it - and we will come back here and fly again in the near future.' He also urged the public to stay away from debris. The five participants decided several years ago to continue the ISS project in any case until 2020. Russia is important for the survival of the ISS, because the crew is launched from a Russian space base. It is not the first time that Rogozin fences with the consequences of the tensions around Ukraine for space. When Washington last month extended the sanctions, the Deputy Prime Minister wrote on Twitter: “I suggest that America will take astronauts to the ISS with a trampoline.” Russia, will also forbid the United States to use Russian rocket engines.
