There is a screen in the inlet line also the pump to tank return line has a screen that probably has some rust in it.
-
is this where the gravel is going from the D8 road work?
-
I don't think you have an injector pump problem. check if you have a fuel shut off and sediment bowl under the tank and make sure it is clean and flows fuel. if you have a injector supply pump check that next.

older diesels + no glow plugs + Canada cold = magic when it cranks
-
Bad spark plugs lol ! is flating a rubber fuel line? I am sure you all ready checked the fuel filters? Bad fuel when ya get the tank stirred up?
-
Tyson could you do a walk through of your fleet or have you done it before
-
can you see in the tank to see if their is crud in their or blow the line from the pump to the tank ? cheap fix hopefully

On a different subject: In this video, I heard you saying that you expect to go back to combining once the weather dries up. Also saw your earlier video where you explained direct cutting versus swathing and you explained your choice. Now, with weather circumstances as they are right now, what would the better option: Standing/desiccated for direct cutting or down in a swath to be picked up? Thanks for sharing your view!

I had a old 570a Deere grader do the same thing as this it was a fitting in the return line pump that has a small glass ball that stopped up the local Deere dealer told me to knock yhe.ball out of the fitting and put back in place to see if it helped. I done that and it fixed it so I got a new fitting hope this helps

It may be time to pull pump and injectors for a rebuild but check all lines for obstructions and check balls on the pump return for stickiness. Also return line to the tank or filters. It's possible it's a temperature related injection pump problem which indicates wear in the pump.

Pull the return line to the pump. The one on the side of the pump by itself. Take out the fitting the tube screws onto. There's a little funnel screen filter thingy there. Check for black pieces. This is rubber from the governor disc inside the pump. Pretty common on the roosa master pumps. My Case 580D with the 207 case acted similar once while roading it home. I gutted the screen to get it home and put on a reman pump.

Plugged vent in cap? When it is doing it crack the fuel cap and see if there is a vacuum.

I just looked your RPM problem up on Google and found this:http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=crawlers&th=64732Maybe it will help.

Maybe a bad injector or 2

I remember when I was a kid on a Massy combine there was a sign on the side that said in case of snow open or something like that I thought what are they talking about summertime harvest snow now I know why never come across combines in the snow until I see your harvest it all makes sense now

I would check the return lines from the pump to the tank Make sure they are open. Also the return line from the pump has a fitting in the pump that has a small glass ball and spring in it. This fitting will plug causing the engine to slowly die down. The ball and spring holds a very small amount of back pressure on the pump so it will have lubrication from the fuel. I would check it.
Also there is an inlet screen in the pump inlet that may be stopping up.
