Great video. I took my deck off and couldn't figure out where the idler pulley spring was supposed to go. It was at the end of your video! Thanks a ton! Saved me time!!

Where the heck does the long spring come from, and mount to on the rear of the deck? mine was hooked into a brake on the bottom pulley, and back to the rear axle.
-
is this mower same as a Gardenway 46" MTD TroyBilt mower? My engagement is backwards. I bought used when you push up disengages pull back engages.

hi buddy great video. do you have any video on how to route the lower drive belt. took mine off and the manual didn't really help. thanks
-
Wow, just pull the tension spring off the post, reroute the new belt (MTD has a .pdf for every make and model) and put the spring back on. Reattach your covers and brake springs and your done. We don't need all the drama ! These are a stamped deck, cheap (You get what you pay for) lawn tractor. Mine has lasted 8 years, mowing once a week 2+ acres. Alas, I have spent $200 minimal each year just keeping it going. My next will be a zero turn welded deck. Thanks for the video. I appreciate it.

please just get to it.....don't need all the stories

Ever have a problem of your deck dropping off on one side? My left side does it every once in awhile. Any idea of how to stop this. Great video...Thanks.

Hi there,
I am working on a Yard Machine (MTD) mod 13DF675G062 riding mower and this has been a pain. I have worked out most of the issues, what has me stumped is the location of the release for the transmission so you can push the machine. I downloaded the owners manual, checked the exploded parts diagram and even called MTD and no where is there any info on how to make the thing free wheel so you can push it. The customer said he was having problems with it.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Why not just pull the deck out so everyone can better see what you're doing.
-
I have 46 inch deck with 3 pulleys
-
I needed to know where the brake spring goes and you showed me. I have another spring down there, the same size, I couldn't figure out where that one goes so just took it off. Thanks again!
-
Thanks for the part numbers
-
What size belt did you put on?
-
Brake spring location...Thanks.

... I dont understand why everyone seems to feel the need to explain their life story before actually getting to the point of the fucking video... from 1:38 forward is where you could/should have started. the relevance of a customer crying about why they cant just get a free belt because theyre an idiot is nil to none... (sorry rant over... i just cant stand valueless information)

The model that my friend needs the belt replaced not only has belt guides, but metal lips that go over the pulley to supposedly keep the belt from coming off pulley, but it didn't stop the belt from coming off. I can't put the belt back on, because it is too tight a fit to get the belt under the lip and onto the pulley. It looks like I would have to loose the pulley nut underneath the pulley; as it appears the same bolt that holds the pulley down also holds the metal flat rod with the lip that goes over the pulley. Is that correct?

hey got a question for you if you don't mind? I have a huskee 42in lawnmower that has the same deck as your yard machine, I think that mtd builds both of them, my problem is that I cant figure out how to reattach the pto lever to the tensioner,,, is there any way you can send me a video of what it looks like or by chance tell me how to put it on? thank you in advance. I hope to hear something from you soon my yard is getting out of control.lol.
Anyway thanks for making videos like these. Most consider these throw away tractors but for me there is something very satisfying about bringing back to life an old machine.
