Travis is a former Yr-12 student from Templestowe College who attends NCAT Trade Training Centre for his vocational education & training each week. Travis is studying 22019VIC Certificate II in Engineering Studies. Travis built his own motorized Huffy Slider from the skills he learnt throughout the program. His teacher, Aaron Powter, is very proud of him. Well done mate, an awesome project.

Hi Liam, the axle was made from solid steel. I can't remember the exact size, but it was over 20mm in diameter. Hope this helps? Cheers, Aaron.

What was the axle made from?

Hi bigtruck182, thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Aaron.

Hi Sasa, the engine in this trike is a Chinese Honda clone. It is approx 5 horsepower petrol engine that is connected to centrifugal clutch. A chain and sprockets is used as the drive train to propel the little vehicle. Hope this helps you. Cheers, Aaron.

which forces the engine?????

Thanks :-)

Hello, this project was built by one of my Engineering Students last year. It was built during class time throughout term 3 (approx 6-8 weeks). Thanks for watching. Cheers, Aaron.

How long did it take to build?
-
Hi Mason Tuck, this was built by my one of my engineering students during class in 2012. I'm very sorry but I don't have the plans or measurements for it. Thanks for taking the time to comment and like. Cheers, Aaron. PS: if if find anything I'll email you.
-
can u please email me the measurements and the metals at masontuck95@gmail.com

Hi Jesse34970. I'm sorry but I don't have the plans. I had two engineering students this year that designed and built these sliders themselves. Sorry about that. Cheers, Aaron.
-
ya i know mine cost around 480 because its hard to come by a full huffy slider in america you know
-
Yeah I totally understand. These things cost a bit to build. I think the Travis spent a total of four hundred dollars to build this one. The engineering department supplied the steel for the frame and all the resources necessary to build it. Maybe your shop teacher (auto or engineering) might let you build one. Hey thanks for commenting and all the best. Kind regards, Aaron.

That's ok mate, no problem. I'm a school teacher in Melbourne Australia and I use YouTube to showcase mine and my students work etc... The boy that built this one is 17 years old and this was his major engineering project. Cheers, Aaron.

like i said I'm 12 i don't have money i want another one and ill do it when i get money
-
oo...... ok sorry about that i just sa all of those people and i thought ALL of u built it

Dear Dog6347, this was built by 1 of my students and not a team. However, I challenge you to build one in day, as they're not that simple to build. Please feel free to inbox me when you build and post your slider on youtube. I will be happy to provide you with some positive feedback. Have a nice day. Aaron.
